Tariff classes
The motorway toll is determined by the product of the kilometres for each journey and the relevant tariff. The increases and taxes provided for by current legislation must be added to the sum. Furthermore, the different vehicle classes and the type of motorway network, whether flat or mountainous, influence the variation of the unit tariffs.
The classification of vehicles, defined by axles-sagoma, follows general criteria applied throughout the Italian motorway network.
The vehicle fleet is therefore divided into five tariff classes:
A – B – 3 – 4 – 5
The unit kilometre tariffs of the Concessionaire are periodically revised on the basis of the price-cap formula which takes into account both the programmed inflation rate and the productivity and quality indicators.
