Regulatory References
From 1 June 2026, pursuant to the Resolutions of the Transport Regulation Authority (ART) n.132/24 and n.211/25, the reimbursement system for traffic disruptions related to the presence of planned construction works and traffic blockage events is in effect.
The system applies exclusively to journeys with entry and exit on the routes managed by Strada dei Parchi SpA, and the reimbursement amount is determined by applying the calculation algorithm provided by ART. In an initial implementation phase, users are required to fill in a webform with the details of the journey for which reimbursement is requested, which will be issued via bank transfer.
Reimbursement for Planned Construction Works
The reimbursement system defined by ART Resolution n.132/24 applies to planned construction sites, for the execution of works and/or interventions, that cause “a reduction in the full capacity of one or more sections of the motorway network”. Emergency construction sites related to, for example, accidents, particular weather conditions (snow), etc., are therefore excluded.
For more information on construction sites included in or excluded from the reimbursement system, please refer to the Authority’s website.

Please note that the reimbursement system for planned construction works applies exclusively to journeys with entry and exit on the routes managed by Strada dei Parchi SpA (Motorways A24 and A25).
Reimbursement for Traffic Blockage Events
Reference is made to blocked traffic situations when the following conditions occur:
- a road event causes the closure of a motorway section;
- users are unable to continue their journey;
- interventions aimed at facilitating the flow of vehicles within the blocked section are underway or cannot be carried out.
The user will therefore find themselves in a “queue of vehicles” waiting for the motorway section that was previously closed to reopen, or for vehicular flow to be diverted through an alternative route.
Three reimbursement thresholds have been defined by the Authority, as follows:
